Edward Caban, the second of Mayor Eric Adams's four NYPD commissioners, resigned in September of 2024 under a stinking cloud of corruption, as the federal government was reportedly investigating him for running a nightlife protection racket with his twin brother.
A new lawsuit filed on Monday alleges that Caban was engaging in even more brazen corruption: selling high-level NYPD promotions for as much as $15,000 apiece.
