The Karachi Kabab Boiz Are Throwing a Street Meat Party Every Night in Jackson Heights

"If you're missing Karachi, if you're missing home, if you've been searching for that nostalgic street rolls kick, I think we're the only ones who have it."

Kunal Parwani, Syed Mushbir Jafri, and Azhar Parvez have been buddies for a long time now—they've goofed around together on the streets of Queens for well over a decade, after first meeting as kids back in their home city of Karachi, Pakistan.

And even when the demands of adulthood forced Parwani to decamp to Boston, and Jafri to Mechanicsburg, PA while Parvez still held it down in Jackson Heights, the trio told Hell Gate they stayed close and hung out often, bullshitting about video games, their careers as consultants, and, most urgently, the tragic lack of authentic Karachi street food in their lives.
