Mommy Pai's Chicken Fingers Are Absolutely Worth the Hype

It's our pleasure to inform you that the team behind Thai Diner has another hit on their hands.

Chefs and partners Ann Redding and Matt Danzer have already given this city an abundance of fun nights and amazing food, most notably at their legendary Uncle Boons (RIP) on Spring Street and, since 2020, at the reliably awesome Thai Diner on Kenmare. So much love has been showered on the couple over the years, and they've always given it right back to us.

Mommy Pai's is takeout only. (Scott Lynch / Hell Gate)

So, when Redding and Danzer announced that they were launching a entirely new concept this summer in their space on Mott Street (once home to the underrated "meat-and-three" spot Mr. Donahue's, then to the takeout-only Uncle Boon's Sister), they could have served literally almost anything and I—along with legions of other fans—would have sprinted to check it out.
